Samudera Takes Delivery Of Another Supramax - Sinar Kapuas
The Board of Directors of Samudera Shipping Line Ltd ("the Company"), is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Foremost Maritime Pte Ltd has on 11 April 2011 taken delivery of Sinar Kapuas, a newly built Supramax with a carrying capacity of approximately 57,700 dwt (deadweight tonnes). This vessel, the last of the two Supramaxes that the Group contracted in early 2008, was delivered at Jinhae, Korea.
Sinar Kapuas will be deployed under time-charter and is on her maiden voyage today for loading of cargo in China destined for discharge in India.
As announced on 23 March 2011 (Announcement no. 00139), the Group took delivery of its first Supramax, Sinar Kutai, on 21 March 2011. The Group believes that the addition of two Supramaxes, namely Sinar Kapuas and Sinar Kutai, will contribute positively to the Group.
